Bomb explodes at award ceremony for journalists, one killed
Jalalabad . At least one person was killed and five were injured in a bomb blast during an award ceremony for journalists in the Afghan city of Mazar-i-Sharif. Taliban-appointed spokesman Mohammad Asif Waziri said journalists had gathered for the award ceremony at Tabian Farhang Center in Mazar-i-Sharif, the capital of Balkh province, at 11 a.m. when the explosion occurred.
